About Dental at Joondalup
Dental at Joondalup is a modern dental clinic delivering cosmetic, surgical and family dentistry to Joondalup and the surrounding northern suburbs.
Since opening in December 2015, we have grown into a technology-focused practice with a strong reputation for patient care and team development. Our goal is simple: to make quality dentistry more comfortable, more accurate and easier to understand, using digital tools that put you at the centre of every treatment decision.
Our Joondalup Clinic
We opened our doors in December 2015 and have been caring for the local community ever since. The clinic currently operates with four treatment chairs and was purpose-designed with future growth and expansion in mind, so we can keep investing in our patients, our people and our technology.
Over the years we have evolved into a clinic built around digital dentistry. That focus on modern equipment and continual improvement is what shapes the experience our patients receive at every visit.
A Technology-Led Patient Experience
We are committed to delivering modern dentistry through digital workflows. Wherever possible, we replace traditional impressions with fast, comfortable digital scans using iTero and TRIOS intraoral scanners.
Digital scanning improves comfort, efficiency and accuracy, and it also helps you understand your treatment. Being able to see a clear digital model of your teeth makes conversations about your care far easier to follow.
Investing in up-to-date equipment that improves outcomes and the patient experience is central to how we practise.
Our In-House Laboratory
Dental at Joondalup operates its own in-house dental laboratory. We produce retainers and take-home whitening kits internally, which supports digital treatment planning and faster turnaround times.
Keeping this work in-house gives us greater quality control and added convenience for our patients, so more of your treatment can be managed under one roof.
Advanced 3D Imaging and Diagnostics
Our clinic is equipped with in-house 3D CBCT imaging technology, which is not commonly found in every general dental practice. This advanced imaging supports more accurate diagnosis and treatment planning across a wide range of cases, including implants, orthodontics, wisdom teeth, complex restorative treatment and surgical planning.
Because it is on-site, it also reduces the need for patients to attend external imaging providers.
Benefits of CBCT imaging:
Greater Precision and Predictability
CBCT imaging allows our clinicians to:
- Assess bone volume and quality before implant treatment.
- Identify the exact location of nerves and anatomical structures.
- Diagnose issues that may not be visible on conventional X-rays.
- Plan complex treatments with greater precision and confidence.
- Reduce surprises during surgical and restorative procedures.
Enhanced Implant Planning
CBCT is particularly valuable for implant dentistry and forms a key part of our digital implant workflow. The benefits include:
- Precise measurement of available bone.
- More accurate implant positioning.
- Improved treatment predictability.
- Better long-term outcomes.
- Enhanced patient safety through detailed surgical planning.
Improved Orthodontic and Invisalign Planning
For orthodontic and Invisalign cases, CBCT helps our clinicians evaluate:
- Tooth position and root alignment.
- Impacted or unerupted teeth.
- Jaw relationships and anatomical considerations.
- Complex cases requiring multidisciplinary treatment planning.
Combined with our digital scanners, CBCT helps create a fully digital patient journey, from consultation through to treatment.
Convenience for Our Patients
Because CBCT imaging is available on-site:
- Patients do not need to travel to external imaging centres.
- Results are available immediately for treatment planning.
- Consultations can be more comprehensive and efficient.
- Treatment can often commence sooner.
Having in-house CBCT technology reflects our commitment to leading-edge dental care. It supports more accurate diagnoses, more informed treatment decisions and a better overall experience for our patients.
Invisalign and Dental Implants
There is a strong clinical interest and expertise in Invisalign treatment across our dental team, and our digital scanning technology integrates seamlessly with clear aligner workflows. This means a smoother, more predictable path from your first scan to your final result.
We also place significant focus on implant dentistry, led by Dr Akhil Chandra. Advanced digital planning and CBCT imaging work together to support predictable, well-planned implant outcomes for our patients.
